elsewhere in these comments over the years people have posted that Japanese cats often have these shortened tails. it's in the genetic mix. perhaps someone can elaborate.

so sad to hear about chiro's sickness, hope she is not in too much pain. 16 cat years is probably like 80 human years, she still looks very regal and beautiful. the kitties are growing up so fast, little black nose is full of mischief. In the scene where all the cats are waiting to be feed, Luna stood out from the crowd - she is so pretty. Thanks again for sharing Mr. A.

Super lovely! Nice to see Luna's kittens playing with older brothers. The little black nose is full of mischief, flipping over a food tray. And the meal time is tremendous. Isn't Elizabeth smart for getting some appetizer on the counter? I am very sorry to hear Chiro is not feeling well due to kidney failure. Wishing her a recovery. I really love her pose and beauty.
